• 5-22-01 • Well shit, an update! Since MoNK decided to do some html writing of his own, we decided to consolidate our stormpages site with MoNK's own Oz.net site to give the site a crisper look, as well as to make navigating easier. But, don't worry, we still promise the same SyN quality (i.e. updates every 5 months). I actually finished the links page as well, so feel free to check it out.

Other then that, MoNK and I quit EverQueer and have turned to games like Rogue Spear and Unreal Tournament. UT especially really puts most other games to shame, and apparently UT2 is already in the works. Baseball is in full swing, and MoNK (the lucky bastard) has been able to watch his Mariners just decimate the entire League thus far. My Cubs looked promising for a while, but like every great Cubs team, they seem to have decided to start playing shitty baseball. Joy.

Glad to announce that "old skool" SyNner Remington has returned to us full time. Glad to have ya back in a jacket that fits :p. Along those same lines, we would like to welcome Mia into the Syndicate : ). I suppose we stole her from the WAW's with our charming wit and dashing good looks, but I suspect its the other way around :p. Welcome Mia!.

Damn, I'm still too lazy to actually finish the site. Ok, this weekend I'll make the links and member bio pages, but its gonna have to wait till Saturday, since Friday night is my sacred night to worship Dionysos, the ancient Greek god of inebriation, partying, and downright decadence. See, you do learn things in college! In other words, I'm gonna be too damn plowed drunk to be writing any html.

Downloaded, per MoNK's suggestion, the demo for American McGee's "Alice." Holy shit, this is one of the coolest games I've ever played. Incredible graphics and gameplay, plus its downright twisted. What a combo. Thanks beetch :p. I highly recommend for anyone searchin for a new single-player game (and is open to the idea of being driven stark raving mad like Lewis Carroll himself). If anyone wants to nab the demo, I'm posting a direct link to it here. Be forewarned, it's pretty damn big (78-some MB if I remember right). The plus side is this particular FTP site is incredibly fast; I was pulling about 200k per sec from them. If you have the patience, go for it.

Final note, I'm finally making some progress talking with the powers that be at my Network. With luck, I can either get those ports open I need, or find out a way to fix my damn connection problems. We'll see.

Thats all for this morning. I notice the sun is coming up, which means it time for me to get some sleep. Hell, who am I kidding, I'm gonna go play Alice :p.

• 12-2-00 • Shit, two updates in two days. Either I've lost my mind or...someone has a birthday. Well, I probably did lose my mind years ago, but yes, we have a SyN birthday. Happy birthday Weasel! Yer a great guy and someone we are all honored to have as a friend. So, if anyone sees the birthday boy, make sure to tell him happy 75th Birthday, and that he doesnt look a day over 64. :p. • 12-1-00 • Well, it seems that Outlaw_DR has made it apparent that this site now exists (thanks OL)...so I guess I should probably have something current up for the 4 people that come to look at the site :p. Been trying to fix my damn ethernet, apparently I'm behind some sort of firewall that wont allow the proper packets to pass through required for the Zone, but I cant even get a damn email response from my network administrator. So basically I'm the SyN that cant play anything other then f'n EverQuest. Seeing as I'll be here in New York for the next year and a half till I graduate, I really want to fix this, but I'm not holding my breath.

Anyway, our very own MoNK has a site up of his own, originally designed for us to have a place to upload warez too :p. Nice work beetch. Go pay a visit and steal Motorhead from him while yer at it.

Hopefully this weekend I'll finish this site...I want to get some bio pages for us, as well as finish that links page. I finished a 10-page paper the other night (a week early), so all of a sudden I've found myself with a shit load of extra time. We'll see how it goes, all depends on if I decide to go down to Manhattan and get shitfaced or not (I'm not an alcoholic, alcoholics go to meetings!).

I cant think of anything else worth putting here, so thats it for tonight :p.

• 11-25-00 • Since returning to Outlaws after a long stint in EverQuest, I have played a few games with alot of my old friends, I have remembered how fun this game really can be....but I can also remember how bad it can be. I played this map called Los Yaya (will not link map for obvious reasons) last night and this is the first time I really had to quit the game early. First off, someone joined the wrong color so it was a 4vs2 game, next...this level seems to be loaded with nothing but hidden snipe holes...ok, well it's not so bad so far, right? Well, not only does the level have hidden snipe holes but it also has these so called "modified weapons", which basically means you die in 1 shot. So guess what i did for the 5mins I played the game...you guessed it, DIED and RESPAWNED over and over and over again. I guess the object of this map is who can stay in their "shit hole" the longest with yer "modified weapon" and not die. Im sure it was fun when the level first came out but that grew old very, very fast. Please people, TEST YOUR MAPS BEFORE PUBLISHING THEM. Get some much needed feedback please! Outlaws has alot of good Lawmakers out there but something is wrong when 1 author is pumping out 3 maps a week. With that said, I'm gonna go look for Ninja and play some "Space Cowboys" which can be found on the ever-popular OGB site :p

• 11-21-00 • After some voluntary separation from Outlaws, whats left of SyN have decided to make a comeback of sorts (although I suppose we never really left completely).  It wasn't so much that we missed the game, it was more that we missed the friends we have here (as well as the fights we tend to get into).

Monk, Weasel, Badseed, and myself have pretty much wasted away the past year playing EverQuest, with some occasional Rogue Spear, and basically avoiding Outlaws like the plague.  Consequently, SyN sort of broke apart as fewer and fewer of us were around.  Maybe it was nostalgia, perhaps it was boredom, but for whatever reason we've decided to return to Outlaws, if on a limited basis.

At any rate, I figured one more useless web page can't hurt anyone, so here it is.  Hopefully Monk and I will have the motivation to actually keep it updated to some degree. But hell, we make no promises.
